E Ian is a versatile designer with a strong passion for problem-solving. He challenges conventional designs of ordinary objects to create exceptional experiences that benefit a diverse audience, focusing on impactful and holistic solutions that transcend mere aesthetics. With a particular interest in healthcare innovation, E Ian is mindful of the positive impact design can have on society and remains committed to creating designs that uplift and improve the lives of those in need. His interest and works in this field has gained recognition from international awards such as the James Dyson Award, iF Design, and Red Dot Award. He is currently pursuing a PhD at NUS, under the Divison of Industrial Design.
In his free time, E Ian derives creative satisfaction from observing his environment and exploring societal behaviors. These observations inspire him to forge discursive ideas and objects that serve as a means of self-expression, allowing him to explore his creativity while offering commentary on the world around him.
