We reinterpret an Asian aesthetic to contemporary tactile art and living product.

Thai embroidery may be more associated with the Hmong and other tribal people of the northern highlands, whose brightly colored embroidered bags are available in every big tourist market in Thailand, or the painstakingly made sequinned elephant cushion covers sold across the country,
but Ease Studio is making the craft contemporary, and bespoke, with graphic wall art and elegant cushions. The “multidisciplinary” brand – founded in 2014 by Nichepak Torsutkanok and Wanus Choketaweesak – uses a combination of industrial stitching and handwork to create its designs. The art installations are meant to replace traditional wall art, and these intricate designs challenge perceptions of classic Thai embroidery. Among the brand’s long list of design awards is its inclusion as one of six Rising Asian Talents at Maison&Objet Asia in 2016.
